Our story

Slow-fermented, baked on our porch in Lewes.

Grain & Gather started the way most good things around here do — at home, in a small kitchen, chasing a better loaf. Every batch is naturally leavened with our own sourdough starter and given the long, slow fermentation that gives real sourdough its open crumb, crackly crust, and gentle tang.

We bake in small batches to order, never in bulk for a shelf. That means no preservatives and nothing sitting around — just bread, bagels, and cookies made fresh the same week you pick them up. When a seasonal flavor is gone, it's gone until it comes back around.

When and where is pickup?

Orders are baked fresh for the week and ready Friday afternoon for porch pickup in Lewes. You'll get the exact address and time window with your order confirmation.

Do you deliver?

Yes — we offer local delivery around Lewes and the surrounding neighborhoods. If you're nearby, choose delivery in your order notes and we'll confirm. Outside the area, porch pickup is the way to go.

How do I pay?

Our kitchen also handles nuts, peanuts, dairy, eggs, and soy, so cross-contact is possible — we can't guarantee any item is free of a given allergen. Items with nuts are tagged on the menu. If you have a serious allergy, email us before ordering and we'll talk it through.

Can you do custom or large orders?
